On Fertile Ground

Last week's Rinse show is up for playback. Broadcast the Saturday before Easter. Spring just starting to do as it does in London, following false dawns and Winter’s broody annual sequel. There’s a side to this time of year that can be earthy & unhurried. Behind the blossom and pastel hues, there’s a lot to digging around patiently in the dirt.

The show starts very much in-the-room with The Walker Brothers and ended, somehow, with U2. In between, the spirit animals: Marty Robbins, Leonard Cohen, Mort Garson talking to a snake plant, Herman Chin Loy, and Elvis doing gospel things.
