Our Space, Your Private Event

The Behind This Wall venue is the perfect place to host your wedding or birthday party, engagement, or even your post-wedding celebrations. With a capacity of 60+ and availability for hire ANY day of the week, we can accommodate any event - just make sure to book in advance!

Party The Night Away

We are more than happy to offer a private space for your celebration, and our license operates until midnight. If that isn’t enough, we can apply for a T.E.N licence on the weekend, allowing us to keep the bar open until 2 am for you!

The space will be all yours - with friendly staff, a fully stocked bar, security, free reign of the hi-fi and DJ equipment, and even a sound engineer to help you set up and assist with anything you may need.

Just note that a seasonally-set minimum spend will apply. This is set on what we’d take in an average, busy night with regular service.

After A More Low-Key Affair?

Hire is available for many other events such as filming, photography, recording and such; or to cater for smaller groups - but room fees will apply. These will be less than our private hire minimum spends, but prices will be unique to each request.

  • The Behind This Wall minimum spend is dependent on several factors, such as the season and the day of the week, with all prices all inclusive of services charges and fees.

    Peak season (September to May) rates are as follows:

    Friday, Saturday & Bank Holiday Sundays: £2,400 (or £3,000 when applying for a 2 am licence)

    Wednesday & Thursday: £1,800

    Sunday – Tuesday: £1200

    Off-peak season (June to August) rates are:

    Friday, Saturday & Bank Holiday Sundays: £1,800 (or £2,400 when applying for a 2 am licence)

    Wednesday & Thursday: £1,500

    Sunday – Tuesday: £900

    We only ask that you make the minimum spend, as above, by purchasing drinks, or that you make up the difference at the end of service!

  • No! At Behind This Wall, there is no deposit required, nor do we take any money from you in advance. We DO need your card details to confirm the booking, but this only helps to secure your spot in our calendar and acts as a security measure.

    We do have a cancellation policy in place to protect the venue. No-shows and late cancellations within 48 hours, cost £10 per head with a cap of 60 guests. Alternatively, any cancellation within 7 days is charged 50% of the above amount. But, for any extreme situations out of your control or ours, such as another lockdown, we will not charge you anything for a cancellation.

  • We can provide the following DJ & performance equipment for any event, including:

    • 2x Technics 1210s with tested cartridges

    • Vestax PMC-500 House Mixing Console

    • Shure dynamic microphone (for the big speech!)

    Please note that if you’d like to use CDJs or any other performance sources, these will need to be provided by you. In addition, visitors are unable to bring their own DJ mixers.
