Our basement bar is closed until further notice, in keeping with the government mandate on delaying the spread of coronavirus.

Stay at home, stay safe and support our wonderful NHS wherever you can.

In the interim, we will be working on several initiatives to keep serving our community:

The Spring Menu (due this week) is being refashioned into a take-out option, allowing you to enjoy the experience at home during lockdown. The mixed drinks will be available in 275ml bottles, each containing two drinks worth. Logistically, this is a lot of work to transform our whole mode operation, so bear with us while we get it going.

As well as pouring a lot more into our Zine here, we will also be working on some isolation mix-tapes and a podcast; if you would like to contribute in anyway please get in touch!

Maybe there’ll be an online pub quiz?

This week, a deconstruction of BTW, as with almost every facet of life, completes a turn. We will be re-building from now on: sharing, creating and continuing to provide a platform for people with a good story to tell (even Charlie!) We began life as a Tumblr blog with no intention back then of becoming a bar, or a club night, or a record exchange, or a radio show, or an outdoor cinema, or BBQ…
