Halloween tomorrow ∖ Day of the Dead Saturday

Witching season is well and truly here. Tomorrow: Borne Fruits are in situ with their spooktacular Boogie Against Brexit which was, akin to Frankensteins’ monster, plastered together and given the kiss of life before Count McDoncula and the PLP decided they were up for a trip to the polls after all. So, given the whole Brexit thing’s off (for now) & we can just dress up and boogie instead.

Check out this mix by resident Amaliah for a flavour:

To celebrate the beautiful birth of Borne Fruits, I will be sharing regular mixes from talent alike as part of a mix series. Expect sweetness from guest DJs on a regular, starting with Borne Fruits mama stepping up ahead of our first party on October 31st at Behind This Wall! Listen n share with ur sweet ones n most importantly, enjoooooy!

As an aside don’t forget to register to vote and bash the Tories into a shallow grave (disclaimer: other parties are available to also render extinct on December 12th)

Aside two: why does John McDonnell always appear on TV looking like he’s broadcasting from Dracula’s castle?

Away from the politics we’re hosting a Day of The Dead bash on Saturday with Mezcal Amores. The best dressed as judged by our own resident Mexican mescalita - Diego Rodriguez - will get a FREE bottle of Mezcal to take home! There will be 3 special mezcal Corpse Reviver cocktails to sup on and quite probably some Italo Disco cos, why not?

Lastly: we still have some December slots available for your Christmas parties and New Years plans - if you want to do it better than the rest then get in touch SOON
